Meet the Team

Meet Summer

You’d be very hard-pressed finding someone who loves dogs more than Founder, Owner and Director of Mosman Paws, Summer Butler.

.

At just ten years of age, Summer started her own local dog walking business, servicing the local retirement village. The local pet shop then Cremorne Pet Center and Vet Hospital owners soon began referring clients to Summer, kicking off a life-long love for dogs, and a passion for taking care of them.

.

During her school years, Summer dedicated her time to taking care of dogs, cleaning their kennels and bathing them at the vet hospital and pet shop. It was no surprise that after finishing high-school, the budding entrepreneur was offered a full-time vet nursing position which she knew was the perfect career for her.

.

Some years later Summer reluctantly took a position offered to her, to work in real estate. She set her mind to a new career objective, and did well, however it wasn’t long before she realised her calling, and so happily returned to her one true love: dogs.

.

Soon after, Summer purchased a doggy van and Pitter Patter Paws was born. Soon that one van became a fleet, and she began employing dog walkers and pet minders to join in on her journey.

.

Eight years passed and Summer knew it was time for the next logical step in a long-term plan: to open a doggy daycare for the many dogs that she had been caring for since the beginning.

.

And so Mosman Paws opened its doors offering full-day doggy daycare, pampering, fitness, and a safe place where Summer’s many four-legged friends are loved, entertained and kept happy by friendly and dedicated dog nannies who all understand Summer’s philosophy: a happy hound means a happy home.

.

Summer’s complete love for dogs is something that she finds hard to put into words, but she knows one thing is for sure — if there were more dogs in the world, it would be a much better place.

.

She and her merry band of furry friends can’t wait to welcome you into the Mosman Paws family.

ALISON

.

Alison is a born and bred North Shore local, who is animal crazy, opening her home to 3 dogs, chickens, ducks and one spoiled Netherlands Dwarf Rabbit, named Peppa, and even met her now-husband in a dog park!

.

Having completed her degree in Forensic Science back in 2014, it was Zoology and Biology that Alison was particularly interested in.

.

Joining the team in early 2017, Alison runs her dog grooming business simultaneously and has even spent time volunteering at various animal shelters.

REBECCA

.

Originally from Wales, Rebecca jetted off to the other side of the world to find a new adventure. Being a huge dog lover and an avid pet photographer.

 .

Bec started dog walking to fill the temporary gap of not having her beloved dog Ace with her on her travels and quickly realised that her desire to provide love, care and fun to the dogs grew into being a huge passion of hers. Bec now wishes to persue a career that involves giving dogs the best possible life. Bec has been a volunteer at Staffy Rescue and is an advocate against Breed Specific Legislation.

 .

She once got into a big fall out with her partner because he was jealous that she paid his dog more attention than she did him, even though Bec feels he should’ve known what he was getting himself in for when they had their first date at a dog park! (Pepper continues to receive way more attention than her partner, James).

GEORGIA

.

Growing up as the daughter of a vet and a marine biologist, Georgia has been ingrained with a deep love of animals great and small her entire life.

 .

Over the years Georgia has cared for 8 rescue pets of all different breeds and sizes who have passed through her home.

 .

When Georgia joined the team in 2014 she knew it would be the perfect blend of her love of dogs and the outdoors, but she couldn’t have anticipated just how important the dogs would become in her life.

 .

Georgia is currently studying a Bachelor of Management majoring in Events at UTS and spends whatever time she can spare singing, acting and dancing in many local theatre productions.

FRANCES

.

Frances has worked in animal care for twenty plus years. First with laboratory animals, then as a Vet Nurse in clinics all over Sydney. While at school, she volunteered at a shelter in Brisbane and decided that helping all kinds of animals was her path in life. Her passion is definitely dogs and she has a keen interest in training and behaviour, frequently attending seminars and workshops.   After achieving Certificate III in Pet Grooming, she likes to keep them looking and feeling good as well.

.

She has two dogs at home, plus one long term visitor, three dog tolerant cats, a rabbit and a dove. After working in administration, banking and retail, she knows that being at work with dogs is the best place to be.
